From “I Do” to Let’s Play: Why I Love Being Your Wedding MC

As a Newcastle and Hunter Valley marriage celebrant, one of my greatest joys is guiding couples through the most meaningful part of their wedding—the ceremony. But did you know I can also step into the role of your wedding MC?

Wearing both hats means I’m there for the heartfelt vows and the laughter that follows. From welcoming guests to introducing speeches and keeping the dance floor energy high, I bring warmth, humour, and organisation to the entire day. And yes… I’ve got a few crowd-pleasing games tucked up my sleeve too!

🎉 Why Add Games to Your Wedding Reception?

Games are the perfect way to:

  • Break the ice between guests

  • Fill in any quiet moments during the reception

  • Bring genuine laughter and connection

  • Make your celebration feel uniquely YOU

Whether your vibe is elegant and relaxed or upbeat and party-ready, I’ll tailor the games to suit your crowd.

Game Idea 1: The Shoe Game (A Classic!)

The couple sits back-to-back, each holding one of their shoes and one of their partner’s. I ask lighthearted questions like “Who made the first move?” and you answer by raising the shoe. It’s silly, sweet, and always a hit!

Game Idea 2: Guest Game Cards

Place fun icebreaker cards on tables—like Wedding Speech Bingo, Advice for the Newlyweds, or Who’s Most Likely To…. They spark conversation, laughter, and plenty of surprises.

Let’s Create Unforgettable Moments

As your celebrant and MC, I’ll make sure your wedding flows effortlessly—from the emotional “I do” to the hilarious dance floor moments. Together, we’ll create a celebration that feels authentic, joyful, and full of memories your guests will talk about long after the night ends.

💛 Ready to add a celebrant-MC who brings both heart and fun to your wedding? Let’s chat about making your day unforgettable.
